Fort Knox celebrates start of fall season at Oktoberfest 2026

FORT KNOX, Ky. — The weather at Fort Knox couldn’t have been better.

That’s what many were saying at this year’s Oktoberfest celebration Sept. 25, where cool, crisp cozy weather prevailed over the summer heat.

Organized and set up by members of Fort Knox Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, German food and beverage connoisseurs and lovers of everything autumn turned out in droves to celebrate the traditional Bavarian fall festival held at Brooks Field.

Kids enjoyed bouncy houses and pumpkins, they and adults enjoyed the food and drinks, and everybody enjoyed hanging out to the traditional and not-so-traditional German music of The River City Polkatz filling the field.
